WHat should I Wear?

You have come to the right place! After we book your session, I will send you a style guide specific to your type of session to help walk you through some tips and tricks on how to look and feel your very best in your photos. I am here to help guide you on what will photograph well!

I am awkward in front of a camera, We don’t know what to do, some of my family members aren’t excited for pictures. EEK, Can you help?

Long story short, I. GOT. YOU. There are many reasons why you trust a professional, all these are one of them. Unless you are a Tyra Banks or GiGi Hadid runway model, I would not expect you to know EXACTLY what you are doing in front of my camera. I am here to guide and capture your beautiful moments as they unfold. I am here to be your hype person and to make the whole process as fun and as easy as possible. I will provide a few tips prior to our session with your style guide to address some of these topics! Do not worry. You are in great hands. We will have plenty of guidance and movement along the way.

Can I hire you just for video?

Absolutely! Let’s chat more about your vision.

DO you work with a team?

Unless I am shooting a wedding and we decided bring on a second shooter, I am usually the one and only photographer/videographer that will be there for your session. I am typically a one woman workhorse. I notify and talk with clients prior to their session if we are planning to bring on a second shooter for any reason.

DO you offer mentorships already!?

Moving, motherhood, a ton of solo parenting and volume of work has prevented me from taking on any mentorships. But I am considering offering a very limited amount in 2024. Interested? Please fill out my contact me form.

Can I include my dog?

I am a dog LOVER and FAN! If we plan ahead and make sure the shooting location is conducive to including your dog safely, I am ALWAYS for including your fur family members. Make sure to remember to dress your furry friends for the occasion too, i.e. a nice collar and leash set, maybe a bowtie, bow or bandana. Bringing a friend to your session to help with your dog is highly encouraged (even if they show up half way through the session to take your pup on a walk while we capture some photos of just you)!

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, for all sessions there is a session sitting fee/non-refundable deposit due to secure your session date. Your remaining balance is due prior to your session depending on the Galley collection package level that you decided on.

Do you have a travel fee?

Only if your session is located outside of 25 miles from zip code 85365 Yuma, AZ. If I travel and book multiple sessions during the same time period for the one trip evolution for regular portrait session, I will split the session fee between clients. Exceptions apply for military homecomings. Please inquire via the contact me form for a session near you!

How long until I get my final gallery of images?

You are guaranteed to get your images 3 weeks from your session date. Typical gallery delivery is 2 weeks from your session date. Long form videos is 3 weeks. If your session is a military homecoming, Change of Command, last flight or promotion you will receive a photo sneak peek within 24 hours of your event.

How do you deliver the final images?

I deliver your images via email where you can click on a link to your online Pixieset Gallery. You can share your gallery with friends and family or download your images in high resolution and/or web sized files.

Can I share my images?

Please do! SHARE AWAY on your social media!!!! Shout it from the rooftops! You showing off how much you love your images is the ultimate compliment and way to help my small business grow. Word of mouth is my best form of advertising. Please always remember to tag me on Facebook and Instagram @SarahHeinzPhoto.

Do I have print rights for my final images?

Yes, you can print your images through the online store in your final Pixieset gallery or you can download your images and print at your printer of choice.

Can I get extra images?

Yes! If you select the package options prior to your session that is not the full gallery, you are able to buy additional images via a-la-cart for $10 and image, or upgrade to a full gallery buy-out.

What do I need to bring to my session?

I encourage clients to bring as little as possible to your session. I will have a bag where you can tuck your car keys and cell phones. If you have littles in your photos, small bite size snacks of the non-melting or staining variety is encouraged if they get cranky or need a little extra incentive. Especially in the hot months, I always encourage you to bring water for all!

I’m worried about my kids being BAD during our session, any pointers?

First off, dress them for the weather! If the kiddos are too hot or cold, it will show. Make sure they are fed before our session. A hungry child is an unhappy child. Even if it means feeding them early.

Don’t worry, we make it fun! We explore, we play pretend, we go on a bear hunt, we take breaks if we need to. Mom and Dad twirl, toss, tickle, snuggle so it feels like we are just playing with their favorite people. I am not above treats being involved at our session either. For older kids, sometimes just talking to them and letting them know why you are doing the pictures helps.

i.e. “We want give these as a gift to Grandma and Grandpa so they have pictures of you on their wall. They can see us everyday and they said it makes them smile.”

Most importantly, you know your child best! If they are good during the session, give them something to look forward to afterwards; a special dinner at In-and-Out burger, go get doughnuts or ice cream, an extra hour of screen time, or a video game. You know the tricks!

WHat are your COVID-19 procedures?

I am concerned about keeping all of us safe during your session. I will make sure I am feeling well prior to our session. We will reschedule your session free of charge at both parties earliest convenience if required.

For in-home newborn sessions, I pre-sanitize my gear and my hands upon arrival.
